The Nervous System

Friends,
Today I'm going to talk a little about the nervous system. I have been taking First Responder classes so I've learn't some things! So I sure hope it's a subject you like!

The nervous system controls the voluntary and involuntary activities of the body. It also provides for higher mentl function shuch as thought, emotion, and memory. The two main components of the nervous system are the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS).
The CNS comprises the brain and spinal cord. The brain is the control center of the body and because it controls everything from muscle movements to emotional response. The brain is thinking and problem solving as you read this and it also controls your fingers to move the mouse to scroll this page. It controls basic life functions like breathing and maintaining body temperature.
The spinal cord extends downward from the brain through the center of the spinal column. The spinal cord is like a high-speed information highway that carries messages between the brain and the rest of the body. Proper functioning of the CNS is vital for the well-being and survival of the whole body.
The PNS is the system of nerves that carry messages between the body and the CNS. Two types of nerves make up the PNS: motor nerves, which carry information from the brain to the muscles of the body, and sensory nerves, which carry information from the body back to the brain. For example, when you decide to take persons pulse, your prain sends a "take the radial pulse" message down your spinal cord and motor nreves to your fingers to feel for the persons pulse waves. Your sensory nerves then collect the information about the pulse and deliver that information to your spinal cord and finally back to your brain. Your brain recieves the message and calculates the number of beats per minute.

Well folks that's all I have for now. To find out more you have to keep checking my blog nonstop till I post more later for you! Hope I didn't lose you too far back! Haha!

I'm Alive!

Sorry everyone for not updating you will something new! I've just not been able to get on for awhile because shamefully I forgot my blog name! Haha! But I'm back with a new post!

Last time I left you with some wisdoms from "I Kissed Dating Goodbye." But this time I'm just going to give you an update on my rather boring life! Which I sense is to turn completely around! Let me start from the beginning! Starting in March I recived a comment on a video I posted on youtube from 4e Production. Bill Rodman showed a intrest in my video production skills and asked if I ever considered taking it up as a career? I told him I have and thus it all began! Or so I thought! He asked me to make music videos for 4e Production with their songs. So I'm am still going to do that. But I'm not going into video production as a career. Next he heard from my mom that I'm a very talented musician. So he requested a demo of me singing! I sent it in to him. But he though I had too much vibrato. So he is in the prosses of getting advise from his friend who has sang on broadway! I really want to record a album with them, but not become a singer. I fear that if I sing for a career I will take it in the wrong direction. Which I so want to, but something is holding me back. And I know what it is. It is God speaking to me. So instead I've signed myself up for "FR" (First Responder) classes. It starts tonight and goes through the Month of June! Than in July I will start Search and Rescue training! Which will be so much fun! But I have to wait till I am 18 to enter EMT classes:( Which is a BIG BUMMER!! But I'll make it through it!
I've also be looking for a job. But everywhere I go seems to have no openings. I've applied at DQ, Taco Bell, Hardees and McDonalds. Right now I'm waiting to see what happens with Mc. I am sorta mad for not being able to find a job. But I have to learn to put it in God's hands. That's the only way I am getting by. Maybe this is part of why I'm not getting a job. To learn to put my faith in Him. But I leave it in His hands to find me the right job!

Take Care,
Megan

May: Sang at YMC (Youth Missionary Camp).
June - July: Vacation in Montana.
September: Worked for forestry in Minnesota.
October: Sang at Missouri Family Campmeeting.
December: 9th moving. 15-23 be at GYC.

Well as you can see I haven't really had time to be bored. But believe it or not...I have been a few times! I love being on the road. And that's why I'm planning a group to travel around the states giving concerts. I hope to bless those who listen to us sing. That's my only desire!

Well folks I will close for now. God bless and keep you until next time!

Facts From Science

Scientist are "breaking the language barrier" between porpoises and man. The meanings to many sounds made by porpoises have been identified. The porpoise is one of the most intelligent of all animals, and it's communication is almost a real animal "language." God has made everything wonderfully and with care. He sure is a awesome God!!

I Kissed Dating Goodbye

Hello Folks,

As a teenager I have had some problems with my relationship in the past. I was to the point of giving up. I had friends up with me into the late hours trying to talk things through with me. But nothing ever seemed to work. It would help me for a little while...but soon I would fall back into that rut. Not until my boyfriend asked me to read a book he was reading did I find the answers to my questions. Between it and the Bible I did I should say. I'm sure most of you have heard of "I Kissed Dating Goodbye." If not than I encourage you to get that book and read it. It is such a blessing. I so many favorite quotes from this book. But I will only list one.

I Kissed Dating Goodbye pg. 21: "Smart love constantly grows and deepens in its practical knowledge and insight; it opens our eyes to see God's best for our lives, enabling us to be pure and blameless in His sight."

I didn't practice smart love. I lived "dumb love"-choosing what felt good for me instead of what was good for others and what pleased God. Waiting until I'm ready for commitment before pursuing romance is just one example of smart love. My boyfriend and I are still together. This book has just helped us a lot!

I urge you to get that book and read it if you haven't already. It will help you fix any problems you are having with dating! It's worth it! So please don't wait! And even if you're not having problems or not in a relationship, it is still good to read. It will teach you what to do in a relationship for when you are in one!

Well folks that's all I have to say today. Until next time stay true!
